Service Resilience

Service resilience? Service robustness? Service continuity? Disaster recovery?  There are many terms and definitions, the bottom line is when dealing with people’s safety our services need to be available 24/7/365.

Our approach to service resilience has many elements combining technologies, infrastructure, business processes, and people.  For example, we deploy the latest proactive system monitoring technologies to detect issues and self-heal.

Our infrastructure covers primary and secondary back up systems on site, with further off site back up systems and disaster recovery ARC also accredited to BS5979 Category II, located within a ISO27001 Tier 3 accredited data centre.

The resilience of our systems and infrastructure are constantly tested and audited both internally and by external auditors.  We regularly flick the switch, diverting to our disaster recovery site as part of our disaster recovery auditing programme.

This approach consistently delivers a service uptime across our Alarm Receiving Centre, Focus portal, and internal systems of a minimum of 99.99%.
